When you play Choice Words, recalling popular phrases is only half the battle. With two types of game play, you'll need to match other players' answers - either the most or the least! In "Scratch Play," score one point for each phrase that other players haven't thought of. In "Match Play," score points for correctly guessing how other players will fill in the blanks. As time runs out, the phrases get more far-flung in this hilarious contest of wits and words. Fun for the whole family! Includes 200 Match Play cards, 200 Scratch Play cards, timer, phrase pad and rules. 2 or more players.

The Seal of Excellence is another prestigious award that is given to those products that are not finalists but do exceed expectations based on the criteria for nurturing creativity and education in children.
  • Global Educator Institute Seal of Endorsement During a six-week in-class trial, teachers consider a range of qualities that separate good products from great ones. Fewer than half the products evaluated receive the GEI Seal of Endorsement. These products improve learning and the learning environment along with their achievement of effectiveness, value, ease of use, and durability.
  • Pal Awards Established by respected speech and language expert Sherry Artemenko, the PAL Award recognizes exceptional toys, games and books that, through their design, content, quality, and character, promote play that advances language. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this game! We bought several of these to give as gifts and kept one for ourselves. It did not disappoint. We have enjoyed hours of family fun. From our 8 year old to teenagers to adults. A good time for all. Highly recommended!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for kids and adults alike Gave to my 12 yr old niece as Christmas gift. This was a fun game we played several times over the weekend. Appeals to many ages. Fun to play and we only did the scratch play. Nice to know there are other ways to play the game too. Would recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Family Favorite Family Game Night is popular in our house and we are always on the lookout for games that are complex and strategic enough to challenge adults, but with simple mechanics that capture and hold the attention of children. Most word games have received a lukewarm reception and little replay interest, but Choice Words was a pleasant surprise and a true gem in the word game genre. The “scratch play” scoring mechanism (players collectively decide if an answer is good enough to score) allows the words and phrases conjured up by younger players to be judged in the context of their life experience, and keeps the game competitive and enjoyable for everyone. While the game itself is challenging, the fun for us has been in the passionate lobbying for obscure and borderline answers. Naturally the debate is more lively and entertaining with close friends and family. This game has become one of our favorites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Game for kids and adults We have played the game both with our grade school age children and in an adult party setting and it works well in both capacities. We definitely recommend adding this to your game collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Family Parties I recently played this game with my family at my sister's birthday party, and we had a blast! It was a perfect way to include everyone at the party from ages 8 to 75. We definitely will be playing this game again in the future! I just need to practice convincing everyone that my words and phrases count!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We enjoyed this more than Scattergories Eight of us ranging from age 14 to 75 played this game for the first time over the holidays. Everyone enjoyed it. We have played Scatttergories in the past and also enjoy playing it. We found this game to be more versatile and challenging. We particularly liked the "dealer's choice" between playing match play and scratch play. We had some lively discussions about whether certain words or phrases counted and the rule that two objections ended any arguments is a good one. Very fun game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This game gets you thinking and talking. Six of us played this game, ages 32 to 70, grandparents and parents; thinking, talking and laughing for several hours. We are now giving the game as Christmas gifts to friends, to increase our chances of playing it. Not only fun but an opportunity to learn about language and the other players.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be careful if you buy this game Warning, this game is extremely addicting! You will end up having hours of fun! Before you know it the kid's bedtime will be long past and your guests will will not want to leave. This happened to me and finally my friends made me let them take the game home so they could keep playing.
