Can't Get Enough Perplexors
I'm a user myself of these Perplexors, as well as a mother of girls aged 10 and 12 who use them, and an elementary school teacher. Starting with level A allows you to start easy and cross off your options slowly. Then by Expert level my almost 13 year old is driving herself crazy trying to figure it out - but she's not on the screen! - and she does it (most of the time). Glad to see the choices have expanded to Grid and Math Perplexors because we finished the first series. GREAT product.

Keep the brain working....
As a teacher, these were my favorite activities to do with my students. They need to know how to think and this helps do so. After being a principal for many years, I decided to check out these books and see how they work. I am thrilled with the set. I do have a suggestion, either add some plastic sheets or for people who purchase, they can get a page protector and cut down the long side. You can then slip the page into it, use a dry erase marker, when done erase. You can then use it with other family members. This is a very nice set.

love perplexors
Love the perplexors. This is the 2nd year I have given them and already they are asking if they will get them next year. Gave them to nieces and nephews and adult son who likes puzzles. Moved everyone up a year and I kept the basic this year. Oh my it is really harder then last years.
Also didn't get the free tote.

Editing Necessary
Books are great and lots of fun. However, the first book has many issues that make about 1/3 of the puzzles unsolvable. And the second and third book have some issues, but not as many. Until another issue of this book is printed, I'd stay away from the first three books in the series. I love them and have done these types of puzzles for years. But I would have been very frustrated and given up if I were new to them and started with the first book. I purchased them for myself. If you are not new to these, then you will not have any trouble, so give them a purchase.

We love logic puzzles!
We do lots of grid-based logic puzzles in our house. It would be nice if the rectangles were a bit taller, but then the later puzzles in the book wouldn't fit on one page. We place an overhead projector sheet on the page and figure with a dry-erase marker, so each child can get a chance to solve each puzzle.

Road Trip Boredom Buster
Okay so these are great for kids, but if you're an adult these are pretty fun too! We maybe played a few after our kids went to bed! It's a great and simple introduction to logic and reasoning, but definitely feels more like a game or puzzle. These are GREAT for long car rides because kids are quiet while they solve it! We will definitely be purchasing the more challenging levels.
