Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Concept but not completely happy I was excited when I saw this on the shelf at Target. I said perfect for my sons but then we got home I opened it up, popped all the letters out and we say at the table to begin learning. Pros- *Bright colors and great pictures *Good quality magnets *Great Idea Cons- *The stand isn't very sturdy and is very straight up, rather than leaning slightly. *Some of the sheets for learning didn't slide properly and were a tight fit. *Love that the magnets seemed to be heavy duty but then they stick together making searching for the letters and pictures harder to find. *No storage for the learning sheets or magnets so makes it hard to take along.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love that it's easy and can be played with on their own. I bought this for my niece who's mom is in a coma after giving birth to her sister. I wanted to find something she could play with on her own and keep her entertained. They live very far away. I hope this gift is as helpful as I wanted.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great concept, needs storage compartments We got this for our kids for Christmas. I was hoping we could take it with us on trips, doctor's appointments, etc. to help entertain them those times they have to sit still. But it does not come with any storage for the sheets or the magnets. They need to make the magnet board a carrying case. They could include a slot for the sheets and a tray that slides out for the magnets. So, when you slide out the tray they're right there ready to put on the magnet board. My other issue with this is that you have to punch out all the magnets. Even though I tried to be careful, a few of them broke when I punched them out. The cardboard layer separated from the magnets. So, I had to glue them back together. This is a minor issue, but it would be nice if they were already punched out. We haven't played with it yet. But these are two things that would change this from an okay toy to a great toy. If it came with storage, then I would recommend it. I have four kids, so space is an issue for us. Having to keep the magnets and sheets in a separate container makes it too bulky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for fun & learning! My three year old has asked to play with this toy by name since receiving it! She enjoys making stories using the scenery images and figures like the queen, king, and horses. I haven't pushed practicing letters yet but I am sure matching words to the letters they start with will work well. She also likes the yellow button to clear the magnets from the board!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great toy for preschooler We bought this as a gift for our friend's 4 year old granddaughter for Christmas. She absolutely loved it and spent most of the evening interested and entertained by it. Her parents commented more than once about how substantial it was and on the high quality construction. It was perfect for her age and would happily recommend/purchase again for a pre-school aged child. Would make a terrific birthday present!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from flimsy My 3 1/2 year old received this as a present or I would return it. She is very adept and operates many activities by herself and of course with us as well. The concept of this activity is ok but it is the product itself that is junk. First, the board falls down constantly. Second the "cards" with the activities on them are not cards but flimsy paper that bends and slides right out of the frame. Big deal that the magnets have a release button. You can remove magnets from this board just like you can the frig. Save you money for a different product that has quality. This is junk.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great way to learn the alphabet This is a great concept. My children do enjoy playing with it, it has more than just alphabet pages it also has a few scenes where you can create with the object magnets. The pages are thin however and tear vey easily. I ripped one by accident just by sliding it out of the magnetic slide. Which is why this rating is a 4 instead a 5. If the pages were just a bit thicker or even maybe have a thin laminate on them they would be great. I would suggest maybe getting plastic sleeves or a binding cover for the pages to protect them, -hindsight is 20/20. Overall the product is great and teaches the alphabet very well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good learning Tool MagnaMix Letters is a good tool for learning. The included magnets are bright and colorful, and seem sturdy, although one letter came apart from the maganet and I had to glue it back. I would recommend the product, but there are a few things I think would make the product better. The illustration cards are just paper, and moves around inside the unit until the magnets are placed on it, I can see they will be easy to tear and bend; there is also no place to store the cards on the board it's self, (could easily be done on the back of the unit); also including a colorful tin or box to store all the magnets would be a PLUS. Making the set self contained for the cards and including storage for the magnets would highly improve this toy.
