This robot is very difficult to put together. I would not recommend this for a child. My husband adds “An adult would need a mechanical engineering degree and 40 hours a week to figure out the manual.” But I did give it three stars because it is a fun project (for an adult), and the motor works well.

Very Poor Toy
This a very poor toy and very difficult to assemble for a child of the recommended age even with the assistance of an experienced adult. The parts are extremely small and the directions extremely vague. Very frustrating and of very poor quality.

Solar Robot Kit
This was a Christmas gift and we have been trying to get
it to work with no luck. The solar powered motor doesn’t
hold a charge after being in the sun for days.

Not worth the hassle
Ordering went fine but the value is horrible. It's very tiny and doesn't work. I had a second one shipped and we still haven't gotten it to work. My son is in robotics club at school and was super excited to receive this as a Christmas gift. So far it has been nothing but disappointing.

High Interest kit to a 12 year old.

Good Project Kit
Purchased the Solar Robot Kit for my 9 year old grandson. He began to tackle it by himself and left out a couple of key steps. We started over together and had it working in about 30 minutes. Works great in direct sunlight.
