Drilled holes are not centered
The flat boards are fine. The dowels, which have a hole drilled in one end, are not useful because most of the holes are not in the exact center, and a hole in the exact center is necessary in order for them to work on the lathe.

This is a fabulous toy. My son (who is 10) has already made several projects. The quality and complexity of what he is making has increased, as has his sense of accomplishment, since he is able to work on his own.

This is a very flimsy toy. It is not sturdy at all. The tools are poor quality they bend and brake VERY VERY VERY easy. That you can't even make the projects that is says it can make. Way tooooooo expensive VERY DISAPPOINTING

Useless due to quality
My son used his own money to purchase more wood for his 4-in-1 Tool (which he really is pleased with), but imagine his disappointment when at LEAST 4 of the dowels' holes are not centered, so useless on the tool. Very disappointing.

This was a Xmas present for my grandson and he just loved this.

We love it. He works on it with his grandparents who are very good at woodwork. He feels very 'grown up'. The tool fits him well.

What type of plywood is it? Balsa? Bass?
