Acrylic paint does not seems to stick well it peels once dry and also the clay is not real solid it easily chips what should I do ?

BEST ANSWER: The clay may not be completely dry when the crafted piece is painted. Allow an additional 24 hours drying time before painting to see if this helps the paint adhere properly.
