The Bird Bash Family Board Game is an exciting game that combines luck and strategy. My family had a great time trying to get the most birds. It was a fun change up to our normal game routines and has quickly become a favorite. In my opinion, the rules were easy enough for a younger child to understand and play as a teammate alongside their parent. Our toddler was able to join in the fun on my team. She understood the object of the game fairly well and liked helping me throw a bird party. I received a free sample in exchange for my honest review.

I played this game with my nine-year-old, and my five-year-old. It was easy to learn, and both found it engaging. While the five-year-old was able to learn the basics, I can understand why this is geared towards older children. The game can be pretty long and requires reading. The bird cards are delightful, and my children were excited by the pictures and names. We also liked the three-dimensional birdfeeders and the various foods that you can hold and manipulate. This game, bird bash, is such a fun game. It involves strategy and planning. It did take a few rounds to get my kids to understand how everything worked, but the game instructions were very helpful. It is very well put together and good quality, however, when breaking it down to put it away the bottom pieces came apart a little bit (thus why I gave it 4 stars). Such a fun game! My family had such a great time playing bird bash! The object of the game is to attract as many birds to your bird feeder. We loved the different types of silly bird cards that you tried to collect. The game was very easy to learn (easy enough for my 4 year old to play along with an adult). The premise of the game is very cute, trying to get different birds to come to your bird feeder by enticing them with different foods. The board game pieces are all colorful and appealing. I liked the food options and bird feeders, alth I do think the bird feeders could have been built to last longer, as their bases began to come apart after just 2 plays. I played this game with my 8 y.o. and she absolutely loved it. She insisted on playing multiple times. The game felt a bit long with four players, but not overly so. The packaging is nice and the cardboard bird feeders are cute and decently sturdy. Ability to read is a must for all players. Minus 1 star because the bonus cards have an error that should be clarified- they reference "5 point birds" but no birds are valued at 5 points, so they must mean birds that cost 5 foods to attract? Very few games make that honor! This game is easy to learn, engaging but not super competative, and has funny characters.
