We ordered this last year for a different grandchild, and the butterflies hatched and the kids released them in their backyard!

This is an excellent learning tool as it helps with the responsibility of taking care of something other than ones self. It was an 'awesome' Christmas gift.

The my daughterloves watching the caterpillars everyday, they have not turned to butterflies yet, but we are all waiting for the great transformation.
