Very simplistic, just a lot of dice rolling. And pages of instructions to read. No strategy, quite disappointing. Perhaps fun for 4- or 5-year-olds but definitely not older than that.

Cooperative play is fun
Played this with my grandchildren, 5 & 8. Making decisions together was fun and rewarding — and no tears by the losers, because we did it as a team. The theme of wizards and potions is right up their ‘magic’ alley, too. I was delightfully surprised that they got in the spirit and really enjoyed playing this board game.

Great for family game night!
I gave this to my 6 year old twin grandchildren and it was the perfect gift. The quality of the board and pieces was excellent. They have wanted to play it constantly since receiving it. I like the fact that it is cooperative play and that there is a need to develop a strategy together to beat the game. Would highly recommend this game for family fun.

Fun and easy game
A fun game and quite easy. My 5 year old grandson can play it with some guidance, even though it says 6 and up. Sometimes if luck goes your way, you can easily win together. But you can lose too, which makes it interesting. It's mostly luck though and doesn't require much strategy.

So much better than Clue!
We like Clue, but this cooperative deduction game is so much fun we have the app version, too, so we can play on the go! It is a great way to introduce the puzzle room genre as well as tie into the familiar magic of fairy tales.
