Digging every day
I bought this for my 5-year-old nephew's birthday, and he had been asking to excavate every single day. He loves it. The largest slab is a little difficult to break apart with the tools the kit came from, but my brother just got out his real hammer to help. The only warning is you're going to need your own covering for whatever surface you're working on - the small mat they sent to keep your table clean is tiny.

Should Be For Older Child and Tools Are Flimsy
This was a Christmas gift for my 4-year-old grandson. He enjoyed it BUT the dexterity needed to use a hammer and chisel was a bit beyond a 4-year-old. It should be reclassified for an older child. Also, the first thing that happened was that the hammer in the kit broke. His mom had to provide a real hammer for him to use. So not a great choice.
