Great hands on activity that needs little supervision.
Bought this for my 8 year old granddaughter at her request. She loved chipping away for the dinosaur. Hands on and educational. Kept her interest the entire time she opened the eggs. She has opened four so far.

Great for 4 year old!
We got these for our 4 year old son's birthday. He isn't all that into dinosaurs but he loves to work with his hands. I like this product as an educator and parent because it was challenging - he had to work at it over a couple days - but very rewarding work! He loves the discovery of what dinosaur he would get. We did NOT soak per the instructions so it was harder to accomplish, but we had a great time doing it. We used medium paint brushes to brush away the rock and a toy hammer to help chisel. It was a fun family affair. Highly recommend developmentally also!

Great learning experience!
This was a gift for our 4-year old grandson who absolutely loved it. He said he was a paleontologist and proceeded to chip away at each egg over the course of three weeks. Meanwhile he played with them and could identify each one by name and characteristics. He also enjoys the paleontologist vest which was included in our gift. His father noted, "This was a real winner!"
