I have ordered several of the Dig It Up products for my grandchildren. They really enjoy the dig and then play with the characters after the dig! The puppies I ordered for my ten year old granddaughter and the wild animals for my seven year old grandson. Previously I have ordered the dinosaurs and all three ages 6-10 have liked the project! Messy but fun!
Grandchildren, ages 5, 4, 3, 18 mos, had great time as adults helped them soak, chip at and break open bones to reveal puppies. Very glad I made the purchase! Lay out newspaper or paper towels before you start. My husband quickly grabbed place mats after we had started and the clay made a mess on them. :( The item wasn't appropriate for the 18 month old but with supervision, he could join in with the big kids. His mama quickly got him distracted with a toy to replace the very tiny puppy.

Duplicate Puppies
This activity is fun for my 8 year old daughter. She likes digging up the puppies and likes playing with them when they’re out. She was disappointed, however, that she received a duplicate puppy. She was expecting to receive 12 different puppies as advertised and listed in the information guide.

Loved it but not quite as described.
My 3 and 6 year old loved this item, and continue to play with the little puppies. However, we did not receive 12 different puppies like advertised, and instead have 2 of 6 different puppies. My kids were a little disappointed they didn't receive 12 different puppies.
