Fun for older kids
This kit was very educational and fun for my 4th grader. She couldn't wait to open the box and get started. There are a huge variety of activities included! Some of the directions are pictures, which are easy to follow. Others definitely require adult support. My daughter loved building dinosaurs out of the provided bones. She created a T-Rex that sits on her dresser. Other activities were equally as engaging, like making bug-in-amber soap or recreating dinosaur prints out of a mold. I would say that these activities are quite messy and really required adult support. My daughter is a very independent kiddo but she still needed me to sit with her and help her step-by-step. The directions also include a ton of background information which was a great learning opportunity. Overall, I'd recommend the product but would maybe suggest it for a slightly older child if you want them to play without parental support.

Homeschool Moms Rejoice!
This is a great product, especially for homeschool parents! It has 12 different activities to help teach about paleontology and geology, but kids just think they're having fun. I would recommend this to any child who loves dinosaurs!

Lots of fun projects!
I love that this kit has so many different activities within it. Some are definitely better than others from an adult perspective, but my daughter has loved them all! If your kid is a dino lover like mine then this is a really fun gift!

Fun, but...
My kids (ages 12, 9, 6, and 2.5), my husband, and I had a lot of fun doing the experiments, however, there were lots of typos in the directions which made it frustrating at times! 750 ml is not the same as 75 ml. It took a lot of trial and error (and we probably made lots of errors!) to figure out measurements. Overall, we had a really good time with this kit, but a simple edit of the directions would make it way more fun.
