Love them, but soak in hot water
My 4 year old loves these! The gold dragon eggs are easier to open than the barns, but the trick is to soak them in hot/warm water. Not cold or room temperature. Makes them way easier to open. Also, super messy, so we do them outside, on the concrete.

Way too hard and thick for what is in them for a child to enjoy
These are way too thick and too hard for a child to crack apart! I had to do it with a hammer and they were purchased for our almost 9 year old daughter. The farm animals are cute, but I would avoid these overly hard and thick blocks to entertain your child. I’m sorry for the bad review 😞

hours of entertainment
This product is great and challenging. It is not as easy to dig it up as you think. It took my 6-1/2 year old a few hours to dig up a single farm animal. They also give you information on each farm animal. Definitely think this product would be too hard for 4 or 5 year old.
