Definitely not suitable for the younger age range.
These bricks are really tiny, less than an inch long and 1/4 tall. The instructions are very inadequate, there are diagrams but no real directions to tell how to go about accomplishing the build . Certainly not enough for a 5 or 6 year old. There are paper pieces you have to use for roof and door. Can't rebuild with those. The piece of paper they give you to build on has been folded and so not flat and the number of the bricks in diagram don't line up with picture.
