Wow! This set is impressive. We have purchased other Snap Curcuits sets before but our grandsons love this one the most. They are both inquisitive and love doing experiments. There are so many different combinations, both simple and more complicated, that they haven't tired of it yet. Instructions are clear and simple. The language is easy to pick up. They are sounding like engineers already. Well made and durable.

This product provided hours of exploration. She would sit for 6 hours at a time creating and understanding how it worked. Would love to see an expansion set.

Bough this for grandchildren to play with at Thanksgiving. They loved it and so did the aunts, uncles and other grandparents who were all present for the week. Bought more of them myself and so did the other grandparents present. This is a fabulous gift for little thinkers!

With guidance, my seven year old daughter enjoys picking out and building many activities outlined in the snap circuit book- she likes to test things as they go along to see what each step adds. She is able to snap the circuits onto the included plastic grid, but needs help interpreting the diagrams that show how each activity should be put together( but is growing more independent toward being able to do this on her own). The instruction manual has definitions as to the role of many of the parts- a good intro to concepts related to electricity. Her and her brother get a kick out of the 'light show' activity- they go in a bedroom and turn out the light, crank the music and dance:)
