A high quality hobby kit
My ten-year-old son and I have been putting this clock together, in a rather fitful manner, since the 2nd week of January. We are amazed at the quality and precision of the components and the generally easy-to-follow instructions.
I did manage to break the minute hand during final assembly and have created a template from which to fabricate a new part in case my glue job proves inadequately strong, but that is hardly the fault of anything but my carelessness.

The wood was laser cut well, but the pieces don’t fit together correctly. The square plastic pieces needed to be hammered on. The shafts don’t even hold the rods in, and the metal rods aren’t long enough to span the clock’s skeleton, even when assembled correctly. It’s a cheaper version of the ROKU clock.

Nice Novelty Clock.
Clock goes together nicely and seems reasonably accurate. Some of the fit is a little poor but works.
Some of the the tiny parts are brittle.
HOWEVER, the biggest thing to me is it only runs 6.5 hours on a winding. Are you kidding me. A novelty at best but I did want to see how it went together.

I received this from being a member of the weeSpring Parent Panel. As a family we put this Gearjits Pendulum Clock together. The wooden pieces are good quality & once put together the details of this clock are pretty amazing. It was a little challenging to put together but we figured it all out in the end. It’s a good size and the functions are really cool. It looks great up on our mantel and my son loves winding it up to get it all going, it’s fun to watch and very rewarding to look at & enjoy.

Fun to assemble and looks good but will not run.
It was fun assembling the clock and it looks good. Unfortunately, I have been unable to make the clock run for more then maybe a minute or two, tops. I think it has something to do with the spring.

one worked the other did not. both were assembled at the same time. Seems to be something with the pendulum. it would work for about 10 seconds the other one worked great. I have given these wooden puzzles for Christmas for several years and mostly have worked well.

Fun idea, poor quality & non-functional
My 11 year old was excited to get this for Christmas, but it ended up being a huge disappointment. He is excellent at building/engineering projects and had no problem following assembly instructions, but the quality of the wood is so poor that many pieces snapped and broke during assembly. We tried to glue things back together and continue with assembly, but at the end the clock still wasn't functional and wouldn't run for more than a few seconds. Fun idea, terrible quality and nonfunctional.
