Children love this.
I'm a retired teacher who volunteers in 4 year old kindergarten classrooms. The children love this! I purchased 2 sets. The bots worked best after battery was replaced (I have Hexbots so used those too). I used double stick tape to attach a small button to the bottom of the pinwheel so it moves easier. Ping pong balls are lighter so also substituted those. Wish I could get more connectors so the school could make better use of the Keva block sets they own.

Good Value and Good Intro to Bots.
I like the simplicity and the near unlimited bot environment that can be created with this product. They're perfect for younger kids as an introductory to bots. The only criticism I have is the lack of ease in changing the batteries in the bristle bots once they go dead.

Didn't work
We got this for christmas and we waited for a while to open it. When we did we saw all of the pieces. Then came the bots, and everything was fine until we tried to use them. They would not turn on no matter what we did. We took out the batteries and put them back in. Didn't work.

Just OK.
Basically the product includes planks and a number of random things you can use to add interest to the maze. All things I could have gotten from my arts and craft bin. Also, I understand that his product was intended for creativity in setting up the maze but a few good instructions to build the things that were pictured would have been nice. Product was delayed until after Christmas with no notification from company. Company did give me a discount for future purchase when I complained.

Fun but batteries run out fast
My 6yr old son really enjoys it except the batteries run out fast. The little bots move fast at first but than quickly get slower and slower. One of the bots only goes in circles so that’s kind of a bummer that he can’t race them.

Fun for all!
My son received this, and after staring at it for awhile, probably because he’s only had planks til now, went right to work putting it to good use. He liked how he could make different obstacles, and even his Dad became entranced helping out with scenarios. Lots of laughing, chaos of of exclamations, and tons of fun for both kids and adults alike. Heck, we’ve considered getting more just to be able to make longer mazes!

Bot maze
Interesting unit. Grandson has made several versions of a maze. Don't know how long the battery will last in the "Bug" but my grandson is running it all the time. His cat sits and watches the little bug fro a while then attacks. So far good fun and the grandson is making new mazes with building blocks he has.

Gift for an 8 year old boy
My son is extremely into Legos, but I wanted to try something different. This was a huge hit! He loves that he can makeup different mazes, my 14 year old daughter enjoys playing with it also. They like see who's bot will make it out of the maze 1st.
