My 12-year-old son has been thoroughly enjoying this building set despite being on the cusp of outgrowing these sorts of toys. As with many toys, he integrates this into various other games, as well as simply exploring what he can build with them.

Pros- hours of fun play for all ages, simple, imaginative, educational potential with extra parental supervision and teaching (not included).Cons- Very expensive for overall quality, design booklet is poor quality, almost tauntingly so as it offers no step by step instructions. I can see how this could be very frustrating if kids are not prepared. Carry bag is low quality, zipper broken after 3 zips by an adult (me). Product is essentially tiny, cheap pine planks (obvious from website).Having said all this my 9 and 10 year old played with these for hours with the understanding that they do not need to try to copy the structures in the booklet. They also played with a 4 year old, teenagers and grandparents with lots of enjoyment. My son asked for a additional 400 piece set to create more buildings, so I'm thinking that the 200 piece set would be small. Expect this to take up lots of floor space-you need a huge flat surface, planks topple easily.

My son is 13 years old. He received the planks as a Christmas gift and has been making incredible designs ever since! He takes a digital picture of each creation. I love this product. My son is using his creativity, his math skills, and has not turned on the television or played with his video games. He is now getting his brother and his friends involved. I am willing to buy more planks! Awesome!

My kids have had a blast building with these blocks. My 13 yr old and 10 yr old chose this as best Christmas gift over video games. They also enjoy all of the Youtube videos that demonstrate Keva creations. It keeps their minds thinking....

Right out of the bag, these blocks provided tons of creative fun for the whole family. Recommend buying the larger set because it is easy to use them all at one time. It's addictive! A nice transition from the smaller lego pieces to really make a 'structure.'
