Oops, cut wrong.
The paints were plentiful. The assembly impossible because the pegs and holes did not properly align. I won’t buy again.

Just ok
There was not enough paint (he tried to mimic the picture on your box and ran out quickly.) Then it looked bad so he lost interest and that was the end of that. On a positive note, it was easy to assemble.

A fun famly project
We bought this for the visit of our five-year-old grandson. He needed adult help in fitting the pieces together and applying the glue, but the whole idea was to do something together with him. Of course, he painted the bird feeder without our help. He feels he's the artist in the family. I think this was a very successful project for a five-year-old child with some adult help and supervision.

Kit execution- YES! Feeder design-NO!
The engineering of this kit was wonderful. It goes together quite well. The directions are clear with text and pictures. Everything you need is there. What I question is the actual design as a bird feeder. The deep bin for the seed means eventually birds must be inside the feeder to eat. It also would likely allow the seeds to spoil in wet weather. A redesign to provide a much shallower platform feeder might make a healthier alternative for the birds.
