Wonderful gift!
My 6-year-old granddaughter loved her new snow globe kit. It was the first Christmas present she played with. It was easy for her to use, and she truly enjoyed making her first snow globe. The colors are vibrant. The globe she made is beautiful. I highly recommend it!

Fun but a lot of work for the 6 year olds
While this kit is fun it's definitely not something that a 6-year-old can do independently which is totally fine. The end product is really fun and it's a great lesson in how a snow globe works which led to conversation about other things we see.

Fun Creating
9 yo I loved seeing how the snow globe ends up. I had to work to soften the clay, softer clay would be easier. Parent note: help soften the clay if you have a young child or one who hasn't worked much with clay, a plastic play dough rolling pin makes it quicker. 11 yo I loved the glitter (maybe you could put a note in that using your own glitter may be fun also, I didn't think of it till it was done.) I loved making the creatures to go in the globe. It would be easier if the rings were flat in the package so they were easier to put in. They didn't leak once straight and in the globe. Tell people about the wet wipes earlier, and the glycerin/baby oil. It did help but we had already filled the globe with water and glitter before we got to the part about adding the glycerin/baby oil. Use lots of glue dots to stick your creation to the bottom of the globe. We didn't the first time and had to take it apart and re-do it. It worked great once we covered the whole bottom of the creation with glue dots. Have a tweezer or pencil ready to help stick them, they can really stick to your hands. We definitely recommend this to others. The globes are awesome.

It was lots of fun!
The glitter does stick too much, so it doesn't swirl like a snow globe. It is real fun, though.

Wrong glitter
The glitter used is too sticky to itself and the inside of the globes. Returned this product.

Snow Globe
I ordered these for my Grandchildren, ages 6-7. All kids (and adults) love snow globes. These are unique.

fun
The clay does not mix well together to lighten or darken colors as indicated. Granddaughters had fun creating sculptures but they sag and change shape a little when baked. One globe leaks when tilted on the side

Great creative toy!
My great niece really enjoyed making the snow globes almost as soon as she received the package in the mail. Great idea :)

Kids loved it!
I bought this kit for my 8 yr old daughter and 6 yr old son, they loved it! We spent hours perfecting their clay designs which turned out great, they did need help though. The process was easy and by the end of the day the globes were finished. They are sturdy and have not leaked at all. There was plenty of clay left over to make small figurines for them to play with. Everything you need is included in the kit so that was really helpful. This was my daughter's fave Christmas gift by far.

Fun project and the result did please my 5 year old.
The kit has several more steps and a higher level of difficulty than I thought it would. The glitter/snow was disappointing as it did not mix into the water. However, the overall effect was good and it delighted the kids.

So much fun!
My almost 8 year old son loves this! He loves arts and crafts, and this is a craft that's not a throw away after you're done... He can look on the shelf with pride and enjoy his creations! Very good quality, unique item. I definitely recommend this product, and this company.

Cool Idea, but could use more clay.
Again a holiday gift for the kid. He picked out a dozen or so things out of the catalog as things he may like for Christmas or his birthday in Feb. My son and I discussed making models with clay several times, so this kit and that concept seemed to make a great combination. The globe is good sized. You get several colors of clay, but only about 1/2" by 2" piece of each. Probably for most scenes this adequate but for a Minecraft creeper - you will use most of the green, and he will look a bit small in the globe. You do have to bake the clay after molding it. Then allow it to cool. This is not as fast as the shrinky dinks we so loved. So if you have an inpatient kiddo like ours, you may need some time filler activities. After baking assembly was easy. He ran around the house and shook it a lot the first day. He dropped it a couple of times, and it is still has not leaked (Fingers crossed). My wife and I agree that it was a good creative activity, but a bit too much idle time. I think they could have doubled the amount of clay, so kids could build a bigger scene. The kit came with 2 globes, and we have not started the second one yet. It will be a rainy day after school activity.
