Terrible product
The product looks super cute and fun to make in the magazine. But once it arrived , we tried to make it and it was terrible!!! The clay doesn't form the way it is supposed to and won't stand up in the snow globe. Then the snow globe leaked water all over our dining room table and ruined several items on the table. Terrible product, would NOT recommend! But I will say the customer service was great when I called and the return process was very easy.

A lot of junk in a pretty box
This kit is complete junk. Agree 100% with earlier negative reviews. The clay is very hard and crumbly. Making the figures is tough, but even when my 9 yo old granddaughter and I wrestled the clay into shapes, then broke nearly immediately when we tried to affix them to the base of the globe. The glue dots are totally insufficient to hold the figures in place. Very very disappointed in this craft kit.

Do not buy!
The clay was very hard and difficult to manipulate. It hurt our fingers and hands trying to mold shapes. The clay was crumbly and would not stick together and the animal we made fell apart. I should have read the reviews prior to purchase.

Complete and utter garbage
Our kids received this as a gift from relatives. It may as well be a box of trash. The clay is awful, the glue dots that are supposed to hold the clay structures in place fail in less than 24 hours, 80% of the glitter floats at the top of the snow globe while 10% of it coats your clay object permanently, and, lastly, 2 out of 3 of the globes had o-rings that didn't seat right and they leaked. As long as MindWare has this item listed, rest assured they're still hawking colorful junk to kids.

They do not assemble at all. 8 and 11 year olds very disappointed!
These were the worst Xmas projects my grandchildren hav ever tried. The whole concept was terrible. Clay was rock hard, glue dots were a joke, directions were confusing. We are extremely disappointed with this product and I do not recommend in any way this item.

At what temperature and for how long should you bake the clay?

  • BEST ANSWER: Finished clay pieces should be baked on a cookie sheet or glass dish covered in foil at 230 degrees F for 3 mins per 1/4" thickness. After baking leave your sculptures in the oven to cool. Please remember to use a conventional gas or electric oven and clay will burn or discolor if baked too hot or for to long.
