We purchased this game for our son and daughter for Christmas this year, as my wife and I both have fond memories of playing with it growing up. They tore into it and love playing with the pieces together, however, we are running into an issue with some of the pieces not staying together very well. The diameters of the plastic connections just are not tight enough from the end of one piece to another, and so they fall apart very easily, which is super frustrating when trying to be patient with our 3 and 5 year old. When playing with the same product made 20+ years ago at our aunt and uncle's house at a holiday party, we found that the quality of the plastic and the way the pieces actually fit and held together was by far superior to the mass-produced, cheap plastic of the toy we purchased. It just fits the cliche of, "they just don't make things like they used to!" We love the idea of marble run, however, it has turned into a frustrating family event to try to play with it instead of the fun, problem-solving and creativity skill-building activity we remembered. We just wish the quality was better, especially for the inflated price for a bunch of plastic tubes and 10 marbles that cost maybe $5-$8 to mass produce.

This toy is for the whole family! I found myself happily putting it together and curiously trying to figure it out along with my children! The toy has endless options/configurations and I believe it will be a toy we will have for many years. The age listed on the box (4 and up) is perfect. I think children younger may not be as interested. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that 4 year olds could put it together themselves. Some parts need a little muscle, balance and finesse to put them together (especially as the structure gets tall). We haven't had it very long and have had a lot of fun with it. My 4 year olds figured it our pretty quickly and were anxious to help! I'd love to add to it and create even larger structures, but this box is a great size and we didn't even use all the pieces at first. This is definitely a long lasting toy that you will have for years.

This is my 2nd purchase. I bought a big set and an add on set a few years ago after my son played with it in school in his science class. My son plays with it every single day. Every. Single. Day. I bought him another bug set and new spiral thing for his 15th birthday, he loved it. I can hear him in his room playing with it now. You may think 15, why is he playing with toys? Well he has Autism so he really enjoys toys geared towards younger kids and this one is top 3 along with nascar and dvds.

I recently bought this and the add-on set for my grandchildren, ages 5 and 7. Great quality, and will likely buy more sets to build larger runs. My only complaint is the instructions that came with the set are really inadequate. We had no idea how to put the set together until we went on YouTube and found a video by Chirp who had a great way of explaining that you put the pieces together with an open and a closed piece and build like a triangle. I would recommend you put a video on your site.

A great set. Four grands ages 5 to 13 rushed to tear open the colorful boxes and busily set out to use all the pieces. The new spinners and wheels were captivating and the big red was a special attraction. Races, timing, marble collection and sounds were all big factors for this group of cousins and was a big hit all afternoon!

My autistic grand needs constant eye / hand coordination practice. Assembling this is simple enough while also good practice for her. The noise of marbles clanking down the chutes helps keep her attention better than say a puzzle. Plus her father gets a kick out of playing with her. WIN-WIN!

I bought this for my seven year old for Christmas. Once set up, it is very flimsy and topples over/falls apart too easily. After hearing my daughter cry a few times from her siblings knocking it over, we ended up getting rid of it altogether. The price is way too high to such an unstable toy. Not worth it at all.

We love the marble run! My boys could play with it for hours. There are many ways to design your marble run and it keeps it exciting. It is good quality. It would be great to have something to store the pieces in when not playing with it but everything else is great.

I bought it for my four year old nephew and he loves it! It allows him to flex his creativity, critical thinking, and build something that's fun to play with. Part of the fun is designing and building and the other part is watching the marbles go!

It’s so fun! My 4 year old and I love building different pathways for the marbles to go. It’s a little unstable sometimes and therefore falls with a touch but pieces go together nicely and if our design is more foundation focused it doesn’t fall quite as easily.

My granddaughter loves this just as much as our daughter did when she was young

Fast shipping and the kids enjoyed it very much. Could be a bit sturdier when put together, perhaps a thicker plastic?
