I did not like how complicated it was to put this toy together. It took over 2 days to put together because the pieces were small, one needs special tools to put the pieces together and this is not well advertised. I'm a bit disappointed. My son, who is on the Spectrum, could not understand and he was a bit inpatient. In the end, once the hand is put together, it does not grab items very well. It's like the claw in the toy vending machine that barely has the strength to get the toy.

My son gave this to his almost 9 year old daughter for Christmas. They both love science and spent about 2 hours putting it together on Christmas Day. She loved the time with her Dad as he explained all the dynamics of the cyborg hand. It really worked to pick things up and my granddaughter’s favorite for tickling. The hand can be adjusted for hand size, which is great because I think my son at 36 enjoys playing with it as much as his daughter.

Cool idea, but lacking quality.
Really cool idea, but quality is lacking. Plastic pieces snapped on assembly and the water pistons for the fingers leak. Pieces randomly pop off and overall, just not a solid design. As my 8 year old says, "It's junky."

Superbly engineered, amazing toy!
I worked with my 9-year-old grandson to assemble this. As observed in other reviews, it is relatively complicated with lots of small parts and is a bit of a challenge to build. I wouldn't have it any other way! All the parts were there and fit together perfectly.(Although some were a little tricky to get in just right.) The instruction book was excellent! Take your time and be patient... we did and got it successfully assembled in about 6 hours total. It is superbly engineered, an amazing toy!
