Great idea, but it leaks
This is a great idea and we had fun making it, but it makes a mess. The salt water leaks out even when the lid is on as tight as I can get it. Also, you have to open up the ice cream compartment half way through to stir. At this point, it's a slurry mess that gets everywhere. You also have to open to add toppings near the end. Finally, we can't figure out a good way to get the ice cream off the bottom of the compartment short of filling the ice compartment with warm water (more mess). The ice cream itself was pretty good and our 4 year old had fun for the whole 20 minutes roll time (all 3 times we've used it). He enjoyed picking a topping to put in. We'll be putting this away until it's warm enough to use outside.

Shake it up, baby!
I've always wanted one of these! Easy, active, fun and you get a treat at the end! The recipe book is very helpful. I prefer my treats a little slimmer so I used skim milk with the half and half but I don't mind the iciness vs the creaminess of full-fat milk products. Full disclosure, I swapped out some of that for Bailey's! Yummy, adult ice cream!
