Great Teachers’ Gifts!
Granddaughters, 7 & 9, had so much fun creating their own designs and painting these vases for their teachers! After baking, we wrapped them in tissue paper and small Christmas gift bags that coordinated with their vase colors. The girls were so proud to give beautiful, useful gifts they made themselves!

My 10 year old grandson and I had a great time painting the vases. He plans to give one to his mother on her birthday.
They really look nice. The paint is a little diluted but you just need to be gentle with the brush strokes or put on multiple coats.

Fun and useful craft!
I had my granddaughters make 3 of these and they came out very pretty. The 4 year old had trouble with the paint running but I had her make lots of runs to make it look like a dripped candle. Two thin layers helps make the color solid. The directions said that even after baking the paint may come off, but I didn’t see any yet. The paint seemed pretty hardened. Not sure if you could just repaint and bake again.

Paint Your Own Porcelain Vases a Big Hit with My Grand Gals
Grand-nieces actually loved these. Oldest had them a few years ago from me as a gift and this year, the younger grand niece a 7 year old, was excited to receive them and start painting right away! Can't do better than that!

My kids loved it and so did I!
My oldest daughter couldn't wait to paint the vases after Christmas! A day later I set it up for her and her sister with a plastic mat on the table and kids in painting shirts and I in an apron. My oldest daughter (5) painted freestyle, my youngest (3) copied the rainbow pattern from the box with my help, and I painted the third vase with random patterns. We let the paint dry 24 hours then baked in the oven for 1/2 hour. The kids are proud of our creations!

This was my first purchase from MindWare and I was absolutely blown away with the quality of these pottery vases! They are a beautiful creamy, smooth white that is perfect for painting. The size is quite decent - in fact bigger than I expected - and DD1 immediately painted all three. She has plans to give one to her Nana, gave one to me later Christmas day and kept one for herself. Extremely happy with my purchase and thinking of getting her the pottery bowl set for Easter :-)

I bought this kit for my younger siblings and I to make a present for our mom. We had some trouble with our first layer of paint peeling off when we painted a second layer (even though it seemed dry), but maybe that was because we didn't wash the vases first like the instructions said to? At any rate, they still turned out great and overall it was a really cool and fun project!
