Briefly ... I bought a set of Perplexors (Level A) for my grandson for Christmas, and he left one of them here . I wound up making copies, thinking I would fiddle around with them to share the experience. Imagine my surprise when i realized that my memory seemed to be improved! I needed more! So I ordered this one (and Level B) to keep myself and my brain busy.

I use this as Welcome Work when the students come into the classroom. It's projected on to the board, the story's read and I underline the 3 sets of information. A student is then called upon to solve each clue. They absolutely love it! It's stretching their brains!

Book is great; packaging is ridiculous
Book is great; packaging is ridiculous. This book is about as big as a file folder. It was delivered in a giant box filled with plastic bags of air. I wrote to ask about it and got the standard, "thanks for your feedback". I would suggest the company take a good hard look at their policies around shipping.

  • BEST ANSWER: It's best to choose a Perplexor level by grade. The basic level is designed for grades 3 to 4 and is the most beginner book in this series.
