Fun activity
My girls had fun playing with the fashion design kit. It was a bit hard for both of them to get their creations to stay on the mannequins, so they used their Barbie dolls instead. The drawing pad gave them ideas of what colors, fabrics and embellishments they wanted to use and they would use that to create looks. The fabrics and details were great. The scissors didn't work and the needle was a bit hard to work with. The velcro needed a better glue than what it came with. Overall, it was a hit

A Must Have For Design Enthusiasts
My daughter absolutely loves the Run the RunwayFashion Design Kit.she especially loves how there are several mannequins to put the material on to make the clothes fit to size. The different types of fabric and threads gives her a lot of choices to use for her Design ideas. My daughter especially loves the sketchbook to help with the creative ideas and the step by step directions that helps to utilize all the components in the kit. I absolutely recommend this kit to future designers.

BEST ANSWER: Run The Runway was designed to make getting started in fashion design easy. The mannequins are specially made to pinch the fabric in the back and keep it in place versus sewing a complete garment. Our mannequins are similar in size to a Barbie doll, so this kit could be used to design the outfits. However, to make finished garments you’ll need sewing experience and patterns developed specifically for a Barbie doll (not included).StaffNovember 5th, 2024Staff
