Lots of fun!
My kids love this. It comes with 8 balloons, enough water beads to make 2 squishy balls, ingredients to make squishy slime mixtures, colors, and lot of beads, glitter, etc to put inside. I thought after we made the first one my 3 year old would break it right away, but they’ve held up really well, better than some squishy balls we’ve bought. The hardest part is filling the balloon. You really have to use your finger to push the slime into the balloon, so wear the gloves!

Creative Learning through squishy balls!
I have four kids (7-11) & they all loved the Deluxe Squishy Ball Lab. Easy to follow instructions & enough materials for 10 balls. Most balls took 15-20 minutes to make, including cleanup, and the activity was fun, easy to set up and clean up, and kept them entertained. My only complaints would be the amount of waste the kit produced with all the individual plastic packaging, and the durability of the balloons. Full disclosure - I received this kit as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Fun and not as messy as youd think!
My 3 year old and I made a few of these guys, and he not only had a great time but then went around telling everyone about the polymers he made. Everything is very nicely packaged and labeled, and you can just make one ball at a time (or a bunch!). I didn't realize the "ball" was actually a filled balloon but it is fairly durable. Being 3, he did pop a few. We received this toy from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and had fun experimenting and will do it with the 8 year old too.

Bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. She has made several, but the one she made with the stars broke and leaked. We think it was because of the pointed stars . Maybe not include sharp things in succeeding labs.

Great way to spend the afternoon
We received the Deluxe Squishy Ball Lab from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to try in exchange for our honest opinion and my kids LOVED it! They are very into science, projects and doing things together as a family and this was all three in one kit. They divided the materials between the two of them and then divided it so they could use the kit twice. It kept us busy for an afternoon preparing, doing and playing with the balls they made.

The experiment was fun but the balloons broke so quickly! I ripped one trying to get it on the funnel.

  • BEST ANSWER: This Squishy Ball Lab uses a 4% concentration of the mineral Sodium Tetraborate, which is also a very common activator in slime recipes.
