My 9-year-old daughter really enjoyed this set! The ingredients were higher quality than cheaper kits that did not work well for us in the past. It was easy to organize supplies on the tray. My daughter could do most of the experiment by herself; I only had to help get the hot water out of the microwave for her. The plastic compact included holds a lip brush to apply and the four lip glosses made in the kit. We even had more left over for another round. Fun and enjoyable!

My granddaughter and I had a good time working together to make lip balm. Unfortunately, the lid to the reservoir was missing from the kit. I don't think the reservoir was a very good idea anyway. I think there could have been a better storage solution, perhaps a few tubes...

I bought this kit for a 10 yr old granddaughter from out of state as an activity that we could do while she was visiting me. Granddaughter (9 yo) loved making the lip balm and loves using it. However, when her lips are chapped, the lip balm burns her lips so she has to use chapstick, like for skiing.
