My daughter loves this lab. And the best part is that it actually works very well. She did almost all of it herself (she's 11). I did help with microwaving. She had a lot of fun making these! The big bar came out awesome and you can add scent. We also received the bath bomb lab at the same time; that was a total flop. If deciding between the two I'd opt for the soap lab for sure. And now it's on sale for $18. I paid $25. But it was worth it as it worked and wasn't frustrating waste of money like the bath bomb lab!

This was great fun and worked as described. We made soap gifts for Christmas. (7 and 4 year olds, I didn’t let my 2 year old participate due to the potential for burns.)

Bubble Madness!
From my 10-year old granddaughter: I was able to make the soap by myself. I melted everything, added the coloring, put it in the molds, and let it freeze. After about 20 minutes I was able to take the soaps out of the mold. I gave most of them away as gifts. They smelled good and worked.

Soap Making a Hit!
My six year old granddaughter and I spent a lovely afternoon making soaps together. She loves to “make” things so this was right up her alley! There was still a considerable amount of materials left for one or two more soap making sessions. I recommend adult supervision for the budding young scientist when using this set.
