This kit was fun for my kids (10 & 8) to see hundreds of little crystals. Instructions were well-detailed and comes with everything you need. Kids needed my help with boiling water, but were able to stir and place the fish on their own.
Just a couple cons: The liquid is dark, so you can't watch the crystals form and they formed on the bottom of the cup. I had to use my hands to remove it. This actually hurt, broke the fish, and stained my hands. This was gifted by Stellar Product testing panel.

Fun Activity for kids and parents too!
I received this activity from the Stellar Testing Panel. My kids had SO much fun growing these puffer fish crystals. We did the blue one first and then the green one the following day. The loved helping with all the steps in the directions, very kid friendly and were SO surprised by the outcome of the crystals when we checked them the next day. They loved that each fishes crystals came out slightly different. Blue fish was small pointy crystals and the green fish had thicker and larger crystals.

Fun but not a toy
I was given this activity to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My kids enjoyed this at first but got bored quickly. It wasn't something they could do without a lot of parental involvement. The crystals took a couple days to really grow. My kids were kind of bummed that this wasn't really something they could play with or handle as the crystals are really delicate. This is a cute experiment type project but not really a toy.

Pretty results if you follow the directions
I let my big kids try out the kit by themselves. The 12 year-old had perfect results, but the 8 year-old's was a flop--crystals grew on the bottom of the container and not the fish. For the best result, a grownup should definitely be supervising, as one little mistake could mean no crystals. Also be aware that these pufferfish are TINY and extremely delicate once the crystals have grown--def. for display only. Many thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending us this kit to try!

Fun experiment
I was given this activity to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The puffer fish are cute however the crystals are very fragile and every time it is moved more break off. If you wanted to save this it would need to be left if a container. The only downside is that you can only make one at a time. In the box you are only given 1 container to let the puffer fish soak in. This was not a problem for me as my son was not really interested, if he was I would have needed two.

Fun for all ages
This kit was fun and easy and my kids (3.5 & 8) both loved it. We've tried other kits, but never a pufferfish, which they thought was so cool. It does require a little parent help with the boiling water. Also, it says to wait 24 hours, but our fish didn't look great so we waited an additional 24 hours. I do wish it came with 2 bowls and lids so both my kids could grow their crystals at the same time. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this product to try!

A fun little project the kids enjoyed
A science experiment that my boys (5 and 8) really enjoyed. As with many of these kits, the anticipation was half the fun. Instructions were easy to follow.
The pufferfish idea is very cute and his tail made for the perfect “handle” to pick him up with once the crystals had formed. The fish is quite small (a little larger than a cherry tomato) but you get 2 in the set, so we can do the project twice.
I had the chance to review this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
