Similar to D&D in the best ways
I’m cracking up because the Stellar Product Testing Panel sent us this game to test with absolutely no way of knowing we are a D&D family... and it’s PERFECT! I’m not sure if whoever designed this game was trying to create a version of D&D that elementary aged kids would enjoy and be engaged in, but they definitely pulled it off. It gives everyone a chance to be imaginative, we all work together, and I love that there isn’t one winner. We love it!

Fun, but took a few tries to get it right
We got a copy of the Stories of the Three Coins from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. At first my kids dove right into it. We have 10/7/4 year olds. The instructions are complex and so it was hard for them to fully get the rules. Once the adults helped they began to understand how it worked. But it still took a few tries to get it to flow easier. I like that it's cooperative, not competitive. It's a good intro to role playing games for kids. They had fun & will keep playing it.

Such a great idea for a cooperative game that encourages language development and creative thinking. My sister and I, both teachers, are giving this game to our grandchildren and KNOW that they will LOVE it. Instructions Unclear & Frustrating
Kids 4, 6 & 8 loved it... except the rules are brief & hard to follow. We eventually figured it out, but the instructions are definitely an excercise in frustration. Set up is easy, the cards are beautifully designed & inspire imaginitive story plots by all. The quality is awesome. Love the attention to detail, the inclusion of colors, numbers, emotions, weather etc. Also, the box is shaped to look like a book w/ magnetic closure! Great concept and high quality - but my kids weren't "into" it!
This game comes in a box that looks like an old leather-bound book - very "on theme"! Everything is high-quality, and we were impressed with the attention to detail. Unfortunately, my kiddos just couldn't get "into" it. Even though the game is recommended for ages 6+, it just couldn't hold the attention span of our 7 and 8 year-olds. It may be a great fit for other families - unfortunately, just not ours. (Note: I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.)

Super fun & somewhat hilarious!
I received a catalog in the mail from Mindware. I didn't know who they were prior to 2020. My kids circled what interested them. I choose a few presents for Christmas from what was circled. That's how we became owners to "Stories of the Three Coins". I'm super happy w/this game. Our 1st game was played by my 11 yr old, mommy & daddy. We had fun time laughing & playing!!! We recorded ourselves telling the story with emotion. Then my 11, 8, & 6 yr old played. They really enjoyed this game.

Great cooperative and creative thinking game!
My family received this game through the Stellar Product Testing Panel! Thank you! This game is high quality & gets your creative juices flowing! My 6 & 12 year olds love this game! Instructions were confusing without setting up and playing with them for the first few turns. Once we got the hang of it it’s easy and fun. The story cards illustrations are wonderful and the box has a magnetic closure! We now have a notebook filling with the stories that we have created together. Great family game!

Fun and Surprising Game
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel we got to try this game for our family game night this week. The box was intriguing and my kids (10 year old and 6 year old) were instantly curious. Game set up was a breeze and as I read the instructions aloud, I was a little skeptical but decided to trust the process. My two oldest children, my husband (43 years old) and myself (36 years old) played. It was a blast!! We had laughter, imagination, creativity, problem solving, and collaborative play.
