Product Details

Our Oh So Fun! Cash Register comes loaded with features that encourage imaginative play all while making real-world money and math skills add up—cha-ching! Talking and sound functions add to the fun and realism.

Real working scanner, keypad and card swipe features bring the concept of play to real world encounters. The register includes realistic play money, coins and a credit card – giving children the opportunity to become familiar with the size, value and function of these components. The cash register's unique two-sided design fosters cooperative play as children interact with each other as the customer and cashier. Talking and sound functions engage and instruct the child as they play.

Realistic but a couple flaws
The register puts an amount for each item scanned and walks through the whole checkout process in a very realistic way, which is fun. There are two areas for improvement. The 1st is that you can’t key in product amounts to be added up. It will total whatever the last amount entered was, instead of totaling all of the keyed in amounts. It also takes 4-5 swipes to erase the signature on the pad, which makes me wonder if at some point it will stop fully erasing. Otherwise, it’s great. Not too loud.

Quality toy with great social/educational benefits
My grand daughter is extremely social so she loves anything that requires playing together, yet if she doesn't have someone, she'll make up her own conversation with pretending. She loves the sounds, the counting and the interaction or pretending that comes with creating a transaction. Lots of great teaching moments.
