The register puts an amount for each item scanned and walks through the whole checkout process in a very realistic way, which is fun. There are two areas for improvement. The 1st is that you can’t key in product amounts to be added up. It will total whatever the last amount entered was, instead of totaling all of the keyed in amounts. It also takes 4-5 swipes to erase the signature on the pad, which makes me wonder if at some point it will stop fully erasing. Otherwise, it’s great. Not too loud.

Very disappointed in this product. The scanner is cute and my kids do love when it reads out the total. But half the buttons don’t work. And we can’t figure out how to start a new transaction without completely turning it on and off. When hit “pay card” or swipe the credit card nothing happens, and when you hit “pay cash” nothing happens. Almost all the buttons are the same color, so it’s a little difficult for a non reading child to figure out which buttons are which.

Register drawer won’t open
This product is very glitchy. The scanner would stop working and the only way for it to scan again would be to restart the register. We were having problems with the money drawer consistently opening but it didn’t seem to bother my daughter. Now the money drawer doesn’t open at all and the register is only 2 months old. Very disappointed as the main reason we got this register is to teach our daughter about money, but now the money is locked in the register.
