Too hard to assemble
Age level (8 yrs.) and skill level required to assemble the microscope were very underestimated. In addition, the directions and diagrams provided were not clear. It took over an hour for an adult Ph.D. Engineer to finally put it together!

Materials are cheap, hard to assemble, and broke while working
I was very disappointed in this microscope, which my grandson had chosen. It is made of cheap plastic, with cheap metal connectors and wires that broke while I was trying to feed them into the receivers.

impossible to put together
Some pieces did not line up or fit together right. Very tiny pins kept falling out, lense kept shifting out of position while trying to put together, then one of the wires broke. Had to return because it was at that point unusable. Mechanically inclined grandfather couldn't put together, how could a nine year old? Grandson was very disappointed.
