A Tasty Counting Game
I've never made acorn soup before. I've discovered that it's a lot of learning fun! As a preschool teacher, I love that it's self-contained and it's storage container doubles as an adorable soup kettle. The ingredients are vibrant full color pictures on both sides of wooden pieces depicting items from nature such as pinecones and acorns. The recipe cards are bright, clear, and nicely printed on sturdy cardboard. The child sized wooden spoon adds even more appeal to this fun educational counting game. So many early childhood skills are taught with the Acorn Soup game including counting, number recognition, matching, language, pre-reading, following directions, imaginative play and creativity. I've used the ingredients to teach patterns and addition also. There are endless uses for this charming and engaging game.

Fun for all ages
I had originally thought that this game was for very young children only, but i am wrong. I invited my friends children over ranging in ages from 5-12. They all played together with my family and we had alot of fun. The kids liked the idea of playing with soup and couldnt get enough of it. Is it an extremely exciting game? No is it fun? Indefinitely do i see myself playing it with the kids very often? Probably not as they would get bored. Overall its a fun game and different than the typical games for kids in this age category

Such a fun learning game!
This game is absolutely adorable. It comes with the bowl (which doubles as the storage container) 8 recipe cards, a small wooden spoon and all the “ingredients” to follow the recipe cards. Each recipe card is different and calls for different amounts of items. The “ingredients” are sturdy, solid wood material, and big enough for a little hand to grab. My three-year-old has been loving it. It’s teaching her to sort, count and figure out how to follow specific recipes. She’s quite the cook! It’s even inspired her to help me in the kitchen. Another awesome bonus is, if you happen to lose a piece, they will replace it for free! This is a perfect addition to our Homeschool Room.

So much fun!
This game is absolutely wonderful and such a fabulous way for kids to learn how to count. It comes with a wooden spoon, recipe cards, and wooden ingredients. The box is the bowl you pour your ingredients in. Kids learn to count and follow simple game rules. My son absolutely loves it and wants to play it a couple times a day. This is a great learning game and I recommend it for all children learning to count. I am in love with this great game!
