An “escape” room in a box
This is a fun group activity. You get clues and have to figure out the clue using the provided tools to get to the next round. Some of the clues are quite challenging. This was a gift for my 9 year old, who loved it, and whose attention was held the entire game. But it definitely needed an adult (or teen)to help guide through the clues. IT IS MESSY. The dig for clues and the dragon at the end is very messy. I suggest soaking the eggs in warm water for an extended time before attempting to dig.

Lots of fun!
This was my son's favorite birthday gift. He had so much fun with the story, solving the puzzles and digging up items. I hope they company makes more items like this in the future!

Very creative and engaging!
My 11 year old daughter loved this! It kept her busy for about 2 hours and was challenging but fun. Highly recommend for anyone who likes solving puzzles / "escape room" challenges or dragons.

Great Game! Wish there were more like it.
We played this with our grandchildren as a special New Year’s Eve event. They LOVED it!!! It was definitely fun & even more challenging than we were expecting. It’s a good thing we (adults) had the answer key - or we all may have gotten stumped a time or two. They had so much fun, they want to do it again! We hope there will be more like it available soon, so they can solve new puzzles.

The BEST gift! Highly Recommend!
We bought this for our 10 year old, dragon loving daughter, and it was the perfect gift. My husband and I worked through it with her, and it was a lot of fun. It took us about 2 hours to complete, but the time flew by. I will be purchasing more to give as gifts. I wish you would create a series of these, so that we could purchase a variety to repeat the experience. Highly recommend!

It's a hit!
My 9 year old daughter got this for Christmas and couldn't put it down until it was complete! She was completely entranced by this activity, as were other members of the family who made their way over to see what all the excitement was about. This is a great activity where you get to feel like a detective and solve puzzles and riddles.

Can this be enjoyed by a group of 7 kids for a birthday party?

  • BEST ANSWER: This would be a blast during a birthday party. The challenges are collaborative, meaning all players will work together to advance. Depending on their age, players might have more fun working in two groups with one set per group so that they can be more involved in each step. Otherwise, assigning leaders to each of the nine challenges could also help guide the game play with a larger group using only one set.

How reading intensive is this? I have a 2E kid (very bright with a reading disability) and am wondering, would this be enjoyable for her?
