My grandchildren ages 2,4,6 thoroughly enjoyed making ice cream for THANKSGIVING dinner. By playing catch and rolling the ball around they made milk into ice cream. The best was getting to eat what they had made!!

Leaks
The ice cream was delicious, but we were very disappointed that the salt section was leaky from the middle. My kids roll it back and forth on top of a few towels I laid out on the floor so the salty water didn't get all over my floor which is disappointing for the amount of money it cost.

Good fun and good ice cream
We used this ice cream maker about 4 times in 3 days since my daughter prepared ice cream and sorbet for our guests during the Holidays. Easy to use, very limited mess. Basically you can do sorbet with fruit juice and some sugar and it turns out great. Only drawback is that the bottom part of the container is difficult to scrape to get the sorbet out because it's very frozen and sticks to the container. You need to leave it rest for about 15 mins and then remove it.

They love it!
Purchased as birthday gift for 5 yr old girl, future scientist. The ball works to make ice cream, doesn't leak, kids like the taste BUT after 12 minutes Dad had to take over in the rolling department.

Great fun!
I bought this as a joint gift for my grandniece, 5 years of age, and her little brother, who is 2. According to their parents, they had a great time making the ice cream, rolling the ball around for about 20 minutes. And when they finally got to eat it, everyone loved it! A good idea, that actually worked!

Expensive but didn't include anything.
For the cost of this ice cream ball we expected it to at least come with a kit of rock salt to use for one bowl of ice cream. It was disappointing Christmas Day to open it up and realize we have to go shopping for several supplies for one bowl of ice cream.
