Great idea...but track is particle wood and breaks easily

Loved the idea of track that screws together....looks like would be heavy duty, but Christmas afternoon after we built it, my son leaned against the track and one of the pieces of track broke in half. Since its particle board and not actual wood we can't fix it. So it is a waste of a good amount of money. Is there a way to obtain a replacement piece or something to happen? Currently EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!
