Product Details

Turn the ancient 2-player game into a family activity! It plays just like regular Mancala – pick up your stones from one pit and start dropping them in each pit you pass. Capture pieces and try to gain extra turns as you play. End the game with the most stones in your mancala and you are the winner! The instructions include game play for two, three and four players. The beautifully-carved wooden board folds up to hold all the pieces for easy storage and packability. It’s simple enough for kids of all ages to play and only takes about 30 minutes to finish a game.

Quality made, easy & fun
We had never played Mancala before but this was easy to learn and is now a family favorite. The board is quality made of solid wood and the rocks are beautiful and smooth. It’s a nice game to be able to converse while playing and would be great for younger players with their counting.

Great addition to family gaming
The rules of a 2 player game is the same for this 4 player version. My son understands that once you place your last stone during your turn in your mancala you get to go again. So he plans, counts, and calculates the best way to get continuous turns. He enjoys the challenge of playing against us parents. No mercy!

Can this be played with 3 players? Or do you have to have 4?

  • BEST ANSWER: Yes, to play with 3 players, simply pick the side that will not be used. Do not put any stones in those pits and when players are making their rounds they skip over this side. Do not drop any stones in these pits. You can play with two players in the same way.

What are the dimensions of the board? AND Can you store the pieces inside when folded up?

  • BEST ANSWER: The 4-Player Mancala board measures 16" x 16.5”. It folds up nicely storing stones inside and then latches.
