My grandchildren, 5 and 8 love it. It engrosses them and teaches patience as well as building techniques. It's very creative also.

Four grandchildren never surfaced from the basement building all sorts of contraptions with these. They were great for the holidays. No nuts and bolts, just pure imagination!

Yes, this is a bunch of identical shaped pieces of wood. However...my 6 year old has played with this almost daily since getting it as a Christmas gift. One of his friends has requested the same gift for his 7th birthday. They love trying new things each day. It's a hit!
