Product Details

Geodes were formed millions of years ago when prehistoric volcanoes erupted and gas bubbles became trapped in the lava. Gently hit one with a hammer and it will break open to reveal an incredible crystal cavern hidden within. This premium set includes a full-color guidebook, safety glasses and crystal geodes in a variety of types and colors ranging in size from 1.5"-2", plus pyrite geodes that look like plain old rocks from the outside but crack open to display a sparkling golden interior.

The juice wasn't worth the squeeze
These were REALLY hard to open. This is definitely a parent project, not a kid project. Also, the packaging is misleading. There were no blue or purple ones (not as pictured), we got several repeats, and they are basically all the white and the goodish one. Really disappointing for $50. Not worth it!

Grandson delighted with geodes
My Grandson was intrigued and delighted with the geode set I gave him for Christmas. We broke two of them open together and he was better at it than I was. He looked all the pieces over carefully and kept them all. He will open the rest with his Dad and they can enjoy them together.

My Grandson loved breaking open the geodes to reveal the beautiful crystals inside!!! He is still saving the pyrite ones for breaking open later- this was a wonderful gift for Christmas!!!

Awesome fun for all!
My grandkids (all boys) LOVED everything - as did their parents! The boys were busy from the day the packages arrived (couldn't wait for Christmas!) and have kept busy and exploring new things to do! Even in winter they're out hunting for more rocks

Stunning Results
Gave this to my 13yr old granddaughter at Christmas and she loved them. It was fun to watch all the different shapes, sizes and colors when broken. She was easily able to break all them open. I’d highly recommend these.
