Item received is not the Gummy Lab sent.
The Gummy Candy Lab that showed up was not a rainbow lab and didn't have unicorns or rainbows. It was still fun, but disappointing that the picture did not match the actual item.

What you receive is not what is pictured
I ignored the other reviews that stated a different type of Gummy Candy Lab arrived, thinking I might get lucky, but that is exactly what happened. Luckily, my daughter wasn't disappointed. We did have fun making one tray of gummies, although the flavor wasn't that great. The booklet had lots of great information, but WAY too wordy. A bullet point format would be more effective. Finally, this kit requires lots of parental supervision, unless your child is very confident manipulating hot liquids.

The idea is better than the execution
The making part was okay but the texture and flavor of the gummies was pretty terrible so my daughter was disappointed in the end. Even though it says 6+, my six year old really couldn't do most of the steps. I would say this is really for older children.

Fun way to learn
I got this for my 7 year old grandson since he loves gummy candy so much. The 'lab' delivered as it said it would. He did need a little help but I let him do as much as he could. It was a little messy but that was expected. The 'hardest' part was filling the molds so we quit trying to be perfect and just let them overflow, it still looked and tasted like it should. It thought it was a great experiment.

Doesn’t exist-change the picture!
I have ordered many items from Mindware, all of which have been good quality and exactly what I ordered. That being said, I ordered this item three times, have been assisted by three very courteous, helpful customer service reps, but received a gummy bear lab not even pictured in the items available all three times. Finally I settled on a refund. Please remove this picture from your online catalog and replace it with the gummy candy lab now associated with this item number. Disappointed….
