My husband loves these sets as much as my 9 year old daughter! She is able to follow the instructions in the book, and with help from Dad, they are creating their own contraptions. Great cognitive toy

We got this for our granddaughter for Christmas. At first we were unsure of how it would be accepted. She loved it and her father, mother, and myself built and tore down and rebuilt many structures for hours at a time. It is indeed a great product!

I gave this to my nine year old brother for Christmas. He also received a big Star Wars Lego set. He put together the Lego set first, but once it was together, he stopped playing with it. When he started playing with the Contraptions set, though, he spent hours with it, putting it together, taking it down, making something different. He wasn't the only one, either - several members of the family, including teens and adults, enjoyed playing with Contraptions. I highly recommend this set.

We bought this for our 9-year-old for Christmas, but the 6-year-old and 8-year-old love it as well. Open-ended play, great for imaginative play, much more than 'pieces of wood and balls.' This keeps their attention for a long time!

We gave the Contraptions to our grandson on his 9th birthday, and he and his brother played with it for days. Even his 3 yr old cousin enjoyed it. Creative!
