My son got Contraptions as a birthday gift and he hasn't stopped playing with it. Even my older sons have skipped playing video game to build with the contraptions.

I purchased this item for my 10 yr old granddaughter. She loves it and plays with it all the time. She was changing the designs that come with the product almost from the first time she played with it. It's great to watch her imagination take charge. Good product!

My 8 year old grandson requested this product for Christmas. He loves it! He's liked to build things for several years and this product allows him to be creative as well as follow suggested items to create.

When you open the box, it's just identical pieces of wood and the price seems high for what you get, but my 9 year old and 12 year old have spent hours building and creating with these and it has proved to be well worth the money spent.

I actually bought this as a class gift for my child's teacher but I have a similar product and love it.
