Ratings & Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stick with the regular books I loved using the first set of Perplexors to help my students with reading comprehension and the process of elimination. This More Perplexors set is just bad. There are numerous incomplete and omitted clues. For example in Basic #14 the fourth clue is incomplete so it makes it impossible to complete. This was a waste of money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Errors I have purchased 13 Perplexors at various levels for myself and my granddaughter. Most have been challenging and fun. More Expert Level has errors in puzzles 18, 28 & 43. In Animal Level C, I got as far as #23 and found errors in #16, 17, 19, 20 and 23. More attention need to be paid to proofreading prior to publication.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great at any age As a 64 year old, I thought these books would be good for my brain. This book is for grades 3 to 4, but are fun to do. There are a few errors, but that can be good to discover as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mistakes - not typos Fun stuff - I bought all of them. But they have several mistakes....and should be reedited - since the price of these books is quite high. When was the last time these were reviewed for errors!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful tool for seniors as well as grade school students I am a senior citizen who is looking for things that will keep my mind challenged and engaged. The guidelines suggest doing 2-3 perplexors a week. I was doing a book a week. I will be ordering a few more sets for friends (also seniors) who appear to be interested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for puzzlers These deduction puzzles are fun and challenging. A great pastime. Also got a children’s version for my kids who are having fun and learning deductive reasoning at the same time. Great alternative to crossword puzzles and other word games.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Perplexors I bought a set of 6 for Christmas to fit the age ranges of my grandchildren. As a family we all enjoy mind games and puzzles of all types. The Perplexor puzzles were engaging and fun for my adult kids as well as our grandchildren, enough so that I ordered the second set of puzzle books. The one drawback is in the editing of the books. Quite a few had clues that were contradictory, errors in the consistency of names used in the story and the names in the clues, and similar errors. It was frustrating to get halfway through a puzzle to find it was unsolvable as presented. That said, these were fun and challenging and would be great in a classroom, provided they were checked for accuracy first.
