Advanced for an 8 year old.
The fabrics are beautiful and it is a well made product. However it says 8 and up. My 8 year old can’t sew. I was looking at another product hat required no sewing. I should have bought it

Fun activity
My girls had fun playing with the fashion design kit. It was a bit hard for both of them to get their creations to stay on the mannequins, so they used their Barbie dolls instead. The drawing pad gave them ideas of what colors, fabrics and embellishments they wanted to use and they would use that to create looks. The fabrics and details were great. The scissors didn't work and the needle was a bit hard to work with. The velcro needed a better glue than what it came with. Overall, it was a hit

So Much Fun
My 7 year old daughter and I worked on this together, and it was so much fun. The kit comes with everything you need, although I will say the safety scissors don’t cut the fabric super well, so we ended up using regular scissors. I appreciate that they provide safe scissors though in case she wants to play with the kit on her own. My daughter loves being able to design the outfit on paper and then make her design a reality with the materials. I would recommend this!

So easy and fun!!!
My 8 year old has had the best time designing and creating a new wardrobe for her dolls! Despite her fine motor delay, she is able to design and create beautiful looks that she is very proud of! It was a huge confidence booster to be able to make things on her own that fit and looked how she hoped they would when she completed them! A Must Have For Design Enthusiasts
My daughter absolutely loves the Run the RunwayFashion Design Kit.she especially loves how there are several mannequins to put the material on to make the clothes fit to size. The different types of fabric and threads gives her a lot of choices to use for her Design ideas. My daughter especially loves the sketchbook to help with the creative ideas and the step by step directions that helps to utilize all the components in the kit. I absolutely recommend this kit to future designers.

Lots of fun!
This was bought at my eight-year-olds request. She had seen it at a friend's house and wanted one for herself. The set did not disappoint. She loves styling different outfits with the wide variety of fabrics and trim. She has even been able to transfer some of her designs from the manikins to a variety of dolls. It's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, encouraging her creativity and getting her away from a computer screen.

Fun way to introduce your daughter(s) to fashion and crafting with clothes!
My daughter loves this fashion design kit! She is super creative and loves being able to create her own pieces and designs from concept to finished product. She thought the kit included so many fabric options and accessory pieces to really make unique clothes. My daughter loved that she was the designer, and also the creator of the pieces she made. She has spent hours creating fashion pieces using this kit, and I have loved how engaged she has been while creating and crafting. Highly recommend

Fashion made easy!
I received this as a part of the Stellar product testing panel. My twin boys who love dragoon were excited! The mannequins it came with are designed to clamp the fabric to fold the fashions together, making it easy for kids to see their creations come to life! I love all the tools included and the fabrics are all fun. My sons love it! The directions are detailed with pictures and information about fashion choices. The patterns were not labeled correctly but we managed. Overall great toy!
