“Every Girl’s Dream!”
My 8 and 10 y.o.s absolutely loved the Rent the Runway Fashion Kit! It’s creative and just the right level of effort and pay-off for them: they loved that they could mix and match patterns, fabrics, and styles just like “real designers.” The visuals in the guide were clear enough for my younger daughter to jump in confidently, but don’t feel babyish to my tween. It’s a beautifully designed, engaging activity that made that made my kids feel imaginative and capable with the quality materials!

Fun, but a little advanced
I was excited to do this project with my eight-year-old. The kit had lots of fun additions to it, many of which are real tools that seamstresses use. The mannequins were a little tricky for her to put together, and I did break the base off of one right away. I like that there are plenty of base dress designs to choose from. Actually constructing the dress did not hold my child’s attention as much as I thought it would, and she was disappointed she couldn’t use her designs on an actual Barbie.

It was a bit challenging for my younger child, but perfect for school-age kids and teens, it’s the perfect level of hands on fun! A fun, well-stocked kit I definitely recommend! Own the Runway
My kiddo was so excited to open the Run the Runway Fashion Design Kit! She was so excited when she saw all the fabrics and her very own mannequins! She couldn’t wait to start designing! This toy was so fun and engaging for her. She sketched designs and then put them to life using the fabrics, materials, and mannequins. I would recommend this to anyone with kids that love to be creative. This is a very open-ended toy and is high quality.

So much fun for my fashionista
My kiddo had such a blast with this kit. The whole design experience felt magical, like she was suddenly in charge of her own tiny fashion studio. It was genuinely fun and engaging, with all the fabrics, trims, and tools sparking nonstop ideas. The part my daughter liked most was draping the fabrics onto the mini mannequins and seeing her outfits come to life. I’d absolutely recommend this to friends because it keeps kids entertained in a creative and constructive way. It’s perfect for gifting!

So many design options!
The Run the Runway Fashion Design Kit was a hit for me and my daughter. She is 7 years old and loved designing some dresses for her 12 inch dolls. We loved choosing from all the different fabrics that came with the kit, including lace, sequence, rainbow fabrics, flower fabrics, polkadot fabrics, leopard print, and even iridescent fabric perfect for a mermaid outfit. The kit also comes with many ribbons, pearls, flowers, clothing patches, and gemstones to customize the dresses. Highly recommend!

Great creative activity
My daughter had an absolute blast with this kit right out of the box. It comes full of all kinds of fabrics, accessories and tools. She’s 6 and could almost do herself but needed help with tracing and cutting fabrics (the scissors included are pretty worthless for cutting fabric). Her only complaint was that she wanted her designs to last…so for that to happen, she would have to sew them or something similar.

Great for creative minds!
This was such a huge hit with my 9 year old daughter. She’s always cutting apart her Barbie clothes to make them into something else and with this, she got to start from scratch with lots of fabric, sequence, lace, ect. options to create her own ideas. The patterns helped give a starting point and it was fun to see how creative we could get. The scissors provided don’t cut through the fabric at all but that was an easy fix using our own. You do have to sew them after taking off the mannequin.

Let your creativity run wild
My 9 year old daughter LOVED this design kit! Unboxing the items was part of her joy- there was SO MUCH in the box to explore and get excited over, including amazing fabrics and "bling" items. My daughter found this to be a fun activity and it kept her attention for a few hours a day for multiple days. She also loved that it came with a design sketch book where she could draw her ideas and then bring them to life. I would recommend it and would also consider gifting to a creative 9-16 year old.

So fun!
I received this as part of the Stellar Testing Panel. My 13 year old daughter has been loving this little kit! She has always loved fashion and designing/diy-ing and this combines all of it together! It comes with everything you need to create outfits and the best part is the mannequins are Barbie sized so you can actually create outfits for Barbie using this! The designs and options are great and the accessories/embellishments are adorable. This has provided my daughter with hours of fun.

Happy Designing!
My daughter loved starting from scratch and creating a design, all the way from paper to the end result of her design on a mannequin. She was engaged and had fun being artistic with her designs coming to life. Her favorite part was looking through the fabrics and styling the patches to go with the fabrics and then creating her image on paper.
