I bought this item for a 5 yr old & he just loves it! I'd follow the directions when it comes to using a lot of paper & possibly doing it outside bc it could get messy, depending on the kiddo! We put paper on a table out in the sunroom & had a blast!
He loved hearing the details about the dino he'd just dup up & even wanted to save some of the 'egg' bc he saw the fossil imprints in them!
All in all, this 5 yr old loved opening those eggs & plans on asking his teacher if he can bring some in for show & tell.
If he has a smart teacher, they'll take that ball & run! Make lesson plans for rdg, math, or science! Maybe bury the eggs first, then have the kids 'excavate' an area to 'discover' what fossils may be hidden there.
Use what a child finds FUN & teach them all you can!

My 4yr old daughter loved this! She kept hoping for a Trex but didn’t get one, however she still had fun. Took her one to really get the hang of it but after that she was fine. 12 for the price was great. It’s messy so I had her wear the appropriate clothing.

My son loved these!
I bought this for my four year old for Christmas. He loved them! Whenever someone came to the house he wanted to excavate an egg with them. I will say that it was a little difficult for him. I ended up soaking the eggs much longer than recommended to soften them up more, and he had some adult help. I'm buying more now to give to the kids at his birthday party.

Best Gift
This was the best gift to keep the Grand kids busy. They were so into getting the dinosaurs out of the eggs. They couldn't wait to see which one would be inside. They opened the other gifts but when they finished they went back to this one and had to get into the eggs before they done anything else. These eggs are Awesome! Great gift for boys or girls!

it was a hit!!
I only allowed two at first as they were in a hurry. had trouble holding them till the 5 minutes were up but it definitely was a hit with a 4 and 6 year old.

Because this was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old grandson who knows the name of every dinosaur and I know he will be beside himself when he opens it, I can only comment on the prompt service and perfect packaging as it was received in Colorado.
